Another extremely usefull and nice tool offered by cpanel is hotlinking protection. You can either choose to use your own .htaccess or other ways, but this is the most easiest way to do it in my opinion.
Steps: of course login to cpanel, scroll down to security, click hotlinking protection and then you can choose which files to block by letting the application to know the extensions, you can also choose redirect / default image for those who try to hotlink, etc.
